This is the 3rd book I have read by this author about the Ironfield Rivets. Our H is Lachlan Reed and our h is Elle (Last name possibly Marina? I don't recall seeing it).

Elle and Lachlan met in Vegas. They had a wild weekend but there were parts that Elle didn't remember. Now Elle is back home with the Rivets where she has been a photographer for 4 years. Lachlan was the first round draft choice for the Rivets and is now on the team where him and Elle will see each other quite often. Elle has found out something that could cost the Rivets everything. In a chance to save them all from huge trouble, she steals from the team's head photographer. While trying to escape without being caught, she saves Lachlan from being hit by a car. He smacks his head pretty good and Elle texts someone to come help him. The next day, during a hazing by the team, Lachlan hears the voice he's been missing. Elle. Lachlan is determined to repeat his weekend with Elle but for a much longer time. Elle is determined to avoid Lachlan in that way. Well surprise, they are Married. Elle, while shocked about being married, demands a divorce. Lachlan convinces her to give him 3 dates to make her fall in love with him.

Elle, was wonderful. She was a strong, independent h. She was prepared to protect the guys she loved and considered family and then do the same with Lachlan. She has to overcome the way her father raised her to find he happily ever after. Lachlan was simply, Perfect. He came off as a big kid but he was such a sweetheart. He took care of his mom and Sebastian and the reason why broke my heart and melted it at the same time.

This was another wonderful book by this author... Now I can't wait for Jude's book :D

Lachlan is the newest rookie player, learning how to be part of a new team. Piper is the team's assistant photographer. They met in Vegas and Piper ran from Lachlan. Lachlan and Piper are connected in more ways than Piper is aware and he wants to prove Piper can and will love him, as her husband. Piper uncovered a horrible secret concerning the team management that could destroy the entire team. I enjoyed this story and would have rated it higher had it not been for one thing. Piper was an intelligence, strong woman until she caves to the threats by the management. She holds all the cards, even if her and Lachlan's positions were threatened. It was an unnecessary capitulation by such a strong character.

Sosie Frost in turning into one of my favorite authors to read. This book definitely contains my favorite character she has written so far. Loved everything about Lachlan Reed. He deserved every bit of the nickname Charming. Not only did he charm his way into Elle's heart, he charmed me into not wanting to put this book down for one second. He and Elle had amazing chemistry and I wished we were able to learn more about Elle's family life. This is why I wish we could get a second book out of this one. I know Sosie allows us glimpses of past characters in her new books but I still yearn for more. This book leaves you wanting more in a good way. I think there's a lot more to discover with Elle and Lachlan. Valerie doesn't seem to be done with Lachlan. She's trouble and I think a second book could explore that. I would love to see Lachlan sit down and tell Bast the truth. Maybe Valerie forces him into a position where he has no choice but to be honest. I would love to see how Elle's family react to Lachlan. I would love to see that coach of their's finally get canned. lol There's just a lot more store to tell and I hope Sosie is listening because if she writes it, I won't hesitate to clear my day to read it.

Overall, the book is an excellent read and you won't be disappointed. I laughed all throughout and did I mention I loved the Lachlan character?
Once Upon A Half-Time is the story of Elle, the assistant photographer for the Ironfield Rivets, and Lachlan Reed, the new hotshot, first round draft pick rookie tight-end for the Rivets.

Three months earlier, Elle and Lochlan had a "one weekend stand" in Vegas. Elle never thought she'd see him again, until it was announced that he was joining the team she worked for. Unbeknownst to Elle, Lochlan never forgot her or stopped thinking about her. And her fuzzy memories from that weekend included one huge moment.

Once Lochlan reveals this moment (in front of the whole team), Elle is shocked. Lochlan continues to try to woo her and gives her an offer if she doesn't fall in love with him by the sunset of their third date, they can undo that huge moment and he'll give up trying to be with her.

There are secrets both Elle and Lochlan are hiding - from each other as well as the world. For Elle, one is so big, it could end her career as well as the careers of many of the players and staff on the Rivets.

This was yet another intriguing story from Sosie Frost. Full of love, energy, hot sex scenes, and many laugh out loud moments. I get pulled in every time and I just love how she writes the story in both character's POV. I always want to know what's going on in both their heads!
